This exquisite 25mm porcelain button from Japan's historical era, portraying a traditional Noh mask, has been artfully converted into a refined pendant using resin and silver craftsmanship. The pendant adorns a sophisticated necklace comprised of 12mm matte onyx beads, meticulously hand-knotted with delicate golden thread between each element. The porcelain originates from the late Meiji to early Taisho period (circa 1900-1920), when Japanese artisans created these miniature masterpieces as functional buttons for Western-style garments. The Noh mask depicted represents one of the stylized characters from Japan's classical theatrical tradition dating back to the 14th century, embodying the essence of Japanese aesthetic principles. The necklace is 18" in length including the clasp.
