First, she took a kimono course in Japan to become more aware of the current and ancient customs. Next, she familiarized herself with pearls and even ventured out to pearl farms. While living in China, she began designing. She visited the carved stone and pearl markets on her bicycle and became well known among the merchants who would often set aside special items of beauty or interest for her. Soon, her friends were asking her to design or obtain items for them. After returning to the United States, Linda maintained her interest and began seriously sourcing goods for resale. Now, she travels around the globe looking for interesting and unique items to incorporate in her designs. Every item has a story, which she is happy to share. She travels all over the world and gathers interesting, beautiful, and valuable items to create her pieces.
